Back to school, en avant!

Hi everybody ! I had to wake up eventually so here we go again ! I got my apetite back at last : when I left work last night a bit after 6:30pm, I was so hungry I was ready to faint. I rushed to "la mie câline", my favourite bakery (what a pretty name for a bakery, it means "the cuddly whatever-you-call-the-soft-bit-inside-the-bread", it's not really translatable I guess and it's a play on word since spelt differently it means "cuddly friend" too but I like it so there!). Anyway once there I fancied the tuna and mushroom tart! I felt a bit strange sitting there in my car on the car park wolfing down my snack but what a treat! I felt much better afterwards to go home.

So this morning Amandine and Kévin went back to school. Amandine is in the big section of Nursery (her happiness to see all her friends again and to proudly show her new pink school bag...) and Kévin in CM1 (Year5). I wasn't especially worried for Kévin although it is his first time at school with none of his brothers or sisters but I was wrong not to worry ! For Kévin his nightmare came true. Maybe there were too many Year 5 but they have split the classes as follows: one Year 5 and one mixed Year5 and 6. Not only Kévin was separated from his chum-with-whom-he-only-gets-up-to-mischief but to top it all, total outrage since he is in the Year 5 only class with a new female teacher and not the male one he was hoping to have...

I understand his disappointment but I am so relieved that he is no longer with his so-called friend who caused him so much trouble and caused Peter even more trouble at Playscheme all summer ! Kévin sulked for England, didn't even want to say goodbye to me and went into class furious, convinced to be the onlyrecipient of the whole world's miseries ! We'll see tonight when he comes out...

Peter has been taking us through the mill for the last 10 days. He had become very agressive towards his younger sister who's unlucky enough to share a bedroom with him. It was getting impossible and I started to despair but sudden change last night ! Peter is all smiles and cuddles again, nearly normal ! I guess Payscheme was stressing him a lot. Because his school holidays are different due to having class saturday mornings, Peter only goes back next Thursday but Playscheme shut its doors last night so Peter can breathe for a week. I took the time to play with him a little this morning and his grandad is picking him up in a few minutes. He'll come home later tonight so everything is for the best, phew !

On the mood side, I started playing the piano again and it was so satisfying to play my favourite pieces like "Mistral gagnant", "Y'a trop de gens qui t'aiment" or "les choses". I haven't lost much due to lack of practice, my fingers slid right back into it, a real pleasure!

Anyway, back to reality, lunch to finish!!!!!
