Bank commercial and swimming-pool
We may as well start with the here and now. Lunch is ending, peacefully for once, and the heat is stepping up.
I had a personal medical appointment at noon, starting a "no-baby 5 years span" again. Don't worry kids, no competing for my love and attention in sight! (no more than usual anyway...)
Anyway, the children behaved themselves during my short absence, Kévin and Chris had even removed all trace of breakfast from the kitchen before their Dad came home from work as I had asked them to, well done soldiers! The said Daddy quickly fixed lunch as soon as he got home, all I had to do was to cut the melon! Kevin is the only one I couldn't persuade to at least try the melon (as usual!) and Chris only wanted the one slice so there were bonus slices for the girls, no problem there!
It's strange but despite all precautions, we always seem to end up with appointments set for Wednesdays... The lunchtime one couldn't be avoided, question of timing and emergency... But the commercial from the bank, honestly Hélène, what were you thinking of? Me didn't realise the 30th June happens to be a Wednesday this year, even though it is our Wedding Anniversary! Yes, 14 years, Lead Anniversary, no need to think far to find a lead gift, the sunshine and the heat will perfectly do! (not sure my English readers will understand the joke, it is a French saying that prompted this: "Il fait un soleil de plomb!") Anyway so the commercial-from-the-bank-badly-in-need-of-new-clients comes here to spend one hour or so to try and persuade me to move all my accounts and assets from the Post Office to his bank, the Post Office not even being a Bank it goes without saying...
I promised the children that if they are very very good whilst the boring man bores mummy, we'll all go to the swimming pool afterwards. If not, it will be siesta time for everyone hihi! Laura doesn't care, she's entered a competition in Auchan and the organisers have invited her to a Party at the Flunch cafeteria for 3:30pm so whatever happens, no siesta time for Laura, that's for sure!
Laura and peter have already started their summer school holidays. Amandine, Kévin and Chris still have Thursday and Friday at school, the joys of the 4 day-week and having all the kids in different schools...
One little enlightment: I am not a 'Mum-at-home", I just happen to be in between 2 jobs (again!) and for once it fits in with the school holidays, I intend to enjoy it! At least until July 19th!
Right, better go and tidy the kitchen, I have a visitor coming soon...
